Lord Make me OVER.....

Well my Morning started "Extremely" earlier than usual this morning (I guess because I had a real good nites rest... (Something that I don't get often b/c my "mind" is always running a thousand miles per hour...) Anywho... As I began to go into "Worship" this morning (About 5:30 or so) A Song just fell on my heart..and in my spirit... "Lord Make me over" by Tonex, so I picked up my little new trendy cell phone and I You Tubed the Video and I allowed God to Have his way with me....

As I worshipped to this song there were "many" things that were being ministered to my Spirit Man , however one word stuck out more than any other... REPENTANCE....
Now if you are like me, you probably fell in love with song when it first came out, and you probably really liked the Lyrics because of what was been ministered thru them... Make Me Over... However , it wasn't until "Recently" that I found out the "REAL" Meaning of the Anointing that was coming from the Lyrics of this song, From the "PERSON" not the "ARTIST"....

The Famed Gospel Singer actually "REPENTED" to GOD through this song...

Well When My Husband was dropping me off to work this morning, we were tuned in to the Rickey Smiley Show and I mean "time" we turned on the radio , it was Rickey's inspirational hour and the song was "None other than".... "Lord Make me Over"!!!
(I Knew then that GOD REALLY wanted me to Pen this message!!!) Thank you GOD for "Confirmation"!!! (I trust you and I obey!)

MAKE ME OVER "AGAIN"....

So as I began to "jot" down my thoughts, here are some of the things that I penned to answer for "SELF"..

- What needs to be "Made Over" in your life? (Those "Un Done" things in your life)
- How are you hurting GOD? (In the song, Tonex says " Pierced your side when they already nailed you" ... WOW, I couldn't imagine adding any more PAIN to GOD than we he had endure on that cross!!!
- What stands between you and God? (Which will be an entirely different Blog)
- When is the last time YOU REPENTED?

I Pray this message has been some form of encouragement for you... that you will allow the LORD to MAKE YOU OVER...

**I also PRAY that you will find it in your heart not to be "Judgemental" of TONEX (as well as others that have had or are having the same struggle) Remember: "GOD IS ABLE"

I receive this, tonite it hit my spirit and I wanted to find out the why. I thank you for sharing this and it's July 22, 2018 at 9:41PM and it's 107 degrees in DeSoto, Texas even now.

ABOUT MY PURPOSE...

Latonja M. Cummings is a native of Birmingham, Alabama where she was a product of the Birmingham City School System and attended Alabama A&M University. She is a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church North Pratt, Al, under the leadership of God’s Anointed Vessel Reverend Walter L. Solomon, Sr. and First Lady Cheryl Fisher-Solomon.

Latonja currently serves on the Board of Directors for God’s Star International Ministries. Latonja Facilitated a Support Group “The Secret Place” which is an educational, informative, support circle for women, men and children that has suffered from many forms of abuse including, domestic violence, sexual abuse and much, much more. She also served on the Project SOAR Organization through the Local Birmingham YMCA which is a grassroots group of survivors of all forms of domestic violence. Latonja has spoken on several different occasions for God’s Star annual God’s Excellent Women’s Seminar, God’s Excellent Daughters’ Teen Summits (as well as their First Annual Retreat in Birmingham, Al 2005) and "Born 2 L.E.A D." Annual ‘s Teen Summit.

Latonja also contributed to doing online interviews for God’s Star On line Magazine “Mpowerd4 life”.

Latonja's "Story" is like many other stories out there about a "young" woman (The Girl Within) that has experienced and encountered many "Hurts", "Challenges" and "Difficulties" in her life's journey.

During her childhood Latonja became a victim of "Sexual Molestation" by one of her family members, little did she know that this would be the "beginning" of a "cycle of abusive" situations that she has encountered along the way.

During her High School and College years she began the "dating process" She met one young man that became physically abusive to her (In High School) and another young man (during her college years) that caused her to become a victim of "date rape". She began to "question" God as to "what" had she done to deserve such punishment and rejection and why" she was going through these kinds of "horrific experiences" at such a tender age in her life. She felt as though she was "cursed" and that satan himself wanted to take her out, BUT GOD!

Latonja's Story is like many other stories, Like YOUR stories (you're not alone)… She was brought up in a good "Christian" home, she sang in the choir, attended Sunday School regularly, Bible Study and all (even while she was off the College) but "Why would God let so many terrible things happen to me?" is what she often found herself asking God. After moving back home from school and starting on her career, Latonja began to see a "Change" so she "thought" that things were beginning to turn around for her, she had found a great church home (so she thought), she had a great job (that eventually ended), she even got married (which ended in divorce). How do you "Survive" this complicated and challenging life became her prayer, Lord, Help Me! was her "Scream" was, "Deliver me" is what she pleaded, Make me WHOLE is what she DESIRED… (God has promised us the Desires of our Hearts..)"Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the DESIRES of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him…" (Psalm 37:5-7 NIV)

In 2003 Latonja decided to start speaking "Up" and "Out" on her life as a sexually abused little girl, a Teen desperately looking for and seeking for love in all the wrong places, a hurt church goer who had been ridiculed by the people of God that was "suppose" to be nurturing her and helping her grow spiritually, a Mentally, Physically, Abused Ex-Wife and Step Mother (bearing no kids of her own), Being Lonely, Life Threatening Surgeries, Survivor of 2 Life Threatening Car Accidents (that should have taken her out), but SHE MADE IT THROUGH IT ALL!! She SURVIVED !!

Latonja is now a "VOICE" and an “ADVOCATE" for little girls and Women of ALL ages, races and nationalities. She goes around speaking "LIFE" back into the hurt, wounded, bitter spirited, women and girls that have faced the struggles of "Low Self Esteem", "Low Self Worth", "Depression", "Suicide", "Sickness" and "Disease", Physical, Mental, and Verbal Abuse.

Latonja has taken a "STAND" in the "Body of Christ" and "Society" to "Speak Up" and tell the "Unadulterated TRUTH" about what's going on with our little girls and women that are holding on to these everyday "hurts, wounds, and scars" that needs to be healed.

So Little Girl that was talked about in School, Little Girl that has dealt with weight issues, Little Girl that doesn't feel pretty, Little Girl that was "touched" the wrong way, Little Girl that feels stuck in that abusive home or relationship, Little Girl that's not happy on the job, Little Girl that was hurt by "love", Little Girl, Little Girl, Come out to play, God has sent his anointed, appointed chosen one to help you RELEASE, BREAKTHROUGH, and HEAL all those open wounds.

This is my STORY, this is my TESTIMONY, I believe that GOD has allowed me to go through so many of the things that I've gone through to be TRANSPARENT, HONEST, REAL and AVAILABLE to Women and Girls like YOU! I believe that he knew ("For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29; 11 NIV)

I wouldn't "Break" and "Die" but would "LIVE" to TELL the world of how AWESOME of a God he is! The same way that he KEPT me, He WILL KEEP YOU!!

It is my prayer, that through "THE PURPOSE PLACE" you will allow yourself to open up, get delivered from the spirit of "Emptiness" within. That GOD will FILL ALL the VOIDS in your life, YOU will Gain SELF CONFIDENCE/WORTH, KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM during each and every writing. I pray that Women would become Mentors to the Younger Girls in the group, Men would become Mentors to Younger Boys, I pray that Women/Men will become Prayer Partners and Warriors for one another, I pray that Women/Men will take a STAND and LOVE one another UNCONDITIONALLY, I pray that Relationships and Friendships will be built, I Pray that "The Girl/Boy Within, Becomes The WOMAN/MAN that God has "PURPOSED"
